This is to guide our course creators in enrolling users who will take the course. Through the step-by-step procedures, they will determine different methods in which they can enroll users and choose which would be the most suitable for their course .

Enroll user/s on course
- On the sidebar click on Participants.
- This page lists all the users enrolled to the course.
- Click on Enroll users button.
- On the new window under Select users, enter the user's name to be enrolled and select it from the search results.
TIP: If adding multiple users, repeat this step for all the other users to be added.
- Under Assign roles, choose the role of the user to be enrolled on the course.
- Click on the Enrol selected users and cohorts button.
You can also allow user/s to enroll on the course by themselves; you can refer to this guide Generate/Create course enrollment key for self enrolment.
Bulk enroll using cohort
- Go to the Course clicked Participants tab where the user/s list is listed and shown. Then click Enrolments dropdown button.
- On the dropdown menu, click on Enrolment Methods tab.
- From the enrollment methods, we'll be using Cohort Sync Method.
- On the bottom part of the screen click Add Method Dropdown button and choose Cohort sync
- Choose the cohort/cection you want to enroll to the course by selecting on the Dropdown list of Cohorts
- Under Assign role, choose the role of the user in the course.
- To add a group select Create new group then click Add Method
Bulk enroll using cohort
By using the created cohort/s on the system, teachers may bulk enroll all the said cohort users. The course managers manage Cohort/s (IT heads, Principals & Deans) & site administrators (Xepto Team).
- Go to the course where the user/s is to be enrolled and go to Navigation > Dashboard > Courses > [Course shortname] > Participants.
- This page lists all the users enrolled to the course. Click on Enrol users button.
- On the new window under Select cohorts, click on the drop-down menu and choose the cohort to be enrolled or enter the cohort's name to be enrolled and select it from the search results.
- Under the Assign roles, choose the role to be given to all of the selected cohort users.
- Click on the Enrol selected users and cohorts button.
TIP: You can request to your course managers (IT heads, Principals & Deans) or send an email to the site administrators (Xepto Team) if you want a cohort to be created for you.
Unenroll user on course
- Go to the course where the user is to be enrolled and go to Navigation > Dashboard > Courses > [Course shortname] > Participants.
- From the list of enrolled users, find the user to be unenrolled; on the right side of the user name, click on the Unenrol icon.
- On the new window, click on the Unenrol button to confirm the unenrollment.
Bulk unenroll users on course
- Go to the course where the user/s is to be enrolled and go to click the Course > Participants.
- From the list of enrolled users, find the users who will be removed from the course; on the left side of the user's name, tick on the checkbox.
- Scroll-down to With selected users..., from the drop-down menu, you'll see Manual enrolments and Self enrolment select the user/s enrollment method and select Delete selected user enrolments.
TIP: It is a hassle to track the user's enrollment details, especially if there are too many users enrolled in the course. To make this efficient, teachers can check the user's enrollment details by following the instructions below:
- Find the user from the list and hover the mouse cursor on the Information icon, and it'll show the user's enrollment details.
- Find the user from the list and click on the Information icon to display detailed information about the user's enrollment details.
- Find the user from the list and hover the mouse cursor on the Information icon, and it'll show the user's enrollment details.
- A prompt will pop-up that will show that the selected users is removed from the Course Participants.
