This is to guide our course creators to transfer their already created quizzes and exams (multiple choice and true/false quiz question types) to the XCLMS.

If you do not still know how to crerate a Quiz in a Course do these steps first before importing your Quiz.

Create quiz in aiken format


  1. Open any text editor and create a text file containing the following for each quiz questions:
  2. Be sure to save the file as .txt.

Import quiz questions


  1. Open the course to be edited. On your created Quiz activity click Add question and go to More or directly click the Question bank > Import.

  2. From the file format list select Aiken format.
  3. You can add a file by dragging it to the frame provided or by clicking the Choose a file... button.

  4. On the File picker window, click on Choose File, browse and select your target text file. Finally, click on Upload this file. 
  5. Click on the Import button.

6. The list of questions will be shown. Click on the Continue button.
